Published in the UAE’s leading newspaper — Gulf News

This image was featured in Gulf News and is the result of a meticulous time-slice technique. Captured from 5PM to 8PM, it blends over 400 individual photographs into one seamless composition. The final piece captures the stunning transition from golden hour to blue hour to the night sky, culminating into a visual journey across time in a single frame.

The above two images were also featured in Gulf News Online’s “From Dubai’s golden hour to Thailand’s timeless beauty” reader gallery (July 2025).

  1. "Dubai skyline at golden hour" - As the golden hour gently touches the skyline, Dubai transforms into a silhouette of ambition and architectural brilliance. This photograph by Mayur Raut captures the full expanse of the city’s iconic skyline — from the towering Burj Khalifa to the sprawling urban edges — all illuminated by the warm, fleeting light just before sunset.

  1. “Deira Clock Tower” - Mayur Raut captures a moment of contrast in Deira. "The Old Clock Tower has always stood out to me — a quiet reminder of Dubai’s past amid its fast-changing skyline," he says. Shot as a long exposure, the image blends the sweep of modern life with the stillness of history. “It’s about nostalgia meeting motion — the city’s old soul wrapped in new energy.”

As someone who grew up in Dubai, this place has always had a special place in my heart. Unknowingly my photography journey began from here and hopefully it’ll continue to spread worldwide. For now, here are some of my favorite photographs in Dubai.

The Desert has become one of my favorite places to Photograph. There’s something about vast open spaces that brings with it a sense of calm and serenity that’s unmatched in the city.
